Stress
Stress is a normal and necessary part of life. It is a useful survival mechanism. Getting rid of stress is not a realistic (or healthy) goal.
Managing stress, learning to listen to the message it gives, working out the change needed, and valuing ourselves enough to make those changes is a much more helpful way of dealing with stress. After all, if our fire alarm goes off, we don’t disconnect it from the power source, we put out the fire, open a window, and learn to lower the setting on the toaster!
If we manage stress in this way, the level of stress we feel will go down as a result. Its a win-win, really.
