Registered Clinical Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy

Dip CBH, GHR (reg), CNHC (accred), UKCP (trainee)

Welcome!

I’m Charmini, a cognitive behavioral hypnotherapist in advanced clinical training in Integrative psychotherapy and an Anxiety UK recommended practitioner.

I worked as a management consultant in the creative industries and property investment sector for many years before retraining in psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and person-centered counselling. I now run a private practice using a blend of therapies to help my clients.

Everyone faces struggles in their lives, my own experience of therapy showed me how impactful the right support can be. It inspired me to help others sort through a lifetime of feelings and experiences and take back control. I firmly believe you can change the patterns that aren’t working for you anymore. I am here to help you break your limiting cycle.

How I Work And The Therapy Approaches I Use

My first aim is to build a clear picture through a shared understanding of what you are going through, what you want to change, and what keeps you from making those changes. Understanding creates choice, and choice frees us from limiting patterns.

I offer Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy, which is an effective way to manage a range of distressing symptoms, bypass limiting beliefs, and build a healthier relationship with yourself. I also offer Integrative Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, which is a way of accessing the sub-conscious processes and beliefs that trap us in limiting patterns. I have certification in Human Givens Relationship Counselling and Person-Centered Counselling. I have training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Trauma-focused techniques.

What my clients feedback:

“I hope I can express enough in writing how much I have gained from our sessions.

Thank you for helping me reconnect with myself and my own feelings again, it has been amazing and the benefits have shown not only in lowering my anxiety but also improving my relationship, motivation and mood.

Even from the very first session after getting to know each other you helped me realise things I didn’t know about myself and that has been so important. My expectations were met and then you went beyond that.

I have already noticed a difference with how I react to situations around me and how I can pick up on my thought patterns and feelings. I’m noticing my triggers more and I feel I am talking about how I feel more often which was difficult before.

It’s rare that someone can understand exact what’s going on in someone else’s mind and for someone who struggles to articulate how I’m feeling/ what I’m thinking I can imagine it’s not an easy job. Your knowledge, experience and view of things holistically has really made a difference.

Thank you for always picking up from where we left off too, you remembered everything I had said in previous sessions and knowing you were really listening made a difference.

The techniques you chose to explore with me were perfect and just what I needed, thank you for being flexible in your approach. Sometimes we needed to change what activity we were doing for something that would work better that day and I really appreciate it.

I think what has also made a huge difference is how genuine and caring you are and that really came across each session. Knowing that you genuinely wanted to help allowed me to feel more confident expressing myself and I felt so comfortable opening up to you. I never felt judged and that is something I often struggle with.

You gave me time to reflect on things and I never felt rushed, I’ve had CBT and counselling before but this felt more personable and more effective as a result

Thank you for everything,

I really appreciate the time you spent with me,”
